  Attacking the elders, can that bring down the cult??

  the borg has left out in the cold the victims of child molesters all to save their reputation and have used the elders to do their bidding in these evil works.

  they have even made changes to their policies to put more of the responsibility on the elders.

  so if the lawyers of these molestation victims which normally go after the money ie the borg were to also aggressively go after these elders in these cases could this not start a ripple effect where by elders find out and start resigning en mass to protect themselves knowing the borg not going to help them?.

  I saw the writing on the wall about a year before I step down at the end of 2010. Even with the new arrangement of the CO's appointing elders and MS the Wt. is still open to being sued. Because they appointed the CO to represent the WT. It would still go back to them. What the Wt. needs to do is find a way to hide their money and claim they are broke. I think you will be seeing that happen in the near future. The elder arrangement is very faulty as flipper said. The men they appoint are very, very untrained to do what the Wt. wants them to do. Yes I know they have so called elder schools but sitting in a kingdom hall for two days every 2 years and listen to talks is not training. The only reason for these schools is to indoctrinate the elders into GB thinking. Brain washing at it's best. Again the Wt. still has some tricks up it sleeves to keep their money.   If you are a teenage male and you go to bed holding two bible's you might be a JW's.

  If you think a heart transplant will give you the personality of the donor you might be a JW's

  If your are afraid of having oral sex your your mate because you will be DF you are a JW's.

  If you allow your child to die because you don't believe in blood transfusions you are a JW's

  If you believe the truth is something that comes from a bunch of uneducated old white men you are a Jw's

  oh my word it is full of fear inducing tactics....doom and gloom outlooks.... anxiety inducing methods to develop absolute control over witnesses and cripple them in any attempt to think for themselves!.

  Acts 8:14 - Apostles are governing body - was this ever taught before?

  today's wt study (nov 15, 2014 page 4, par 4.. the governing body in jerusalem sent the apostles peter and john to these samaritan converts, and they laid their hands on them, and they began to receive holy spirit.

  (acts 8:5, 6, 14-17) .

  there are multiple references to acts 15 whereby "the apostles and older men" were the governing body.. i have never noticed this applied to "the apostles" only in acts 8:14 before.. is this another new item to reinforce the concept of the governing body?.

  i was deleted as the cobe after i let my adult child move back home and he admitted that he fornicated under my roof while my wife and i where away on a rbc project.

  of course the elder mode in me kicked him out of the house.. the elders moved quickly to remove me because i was too involved in "theocractic activities", i had neglected my adult son.. i accepted this primarily because i didn't want to serve with a boe that did not want me.

  i was devastated however because it was the only life i knew.

  Welcome James Jack I to was a elder for almost 25 years, P.O. in two congregations before they changed the title. Much involved in the RBC before the name change.  I know how you are feeling.  I too had a adult son get into trouble with a high profile P.O.s daughter.  They had oral sex.  Somehow it was all my fault.  I was even accused of teaching my son oral sex.  How could my son do such a thing with this outstanding P.O.s daughter.  When the elders asked me that question I told them it takes two to tangle.  All they could say was I did not teach my son right.  All they care about was the so called good name of this high profiled rich elder.   The only thing that keep me from being removed at the time was my son was not living with us.  I look back at this time and wish they would have.  It would have been the best thing in my life.  I would have been 12 years younger and free of all that nonsense of being a elder.  Like all cults they use guilt to try to control you and judge you.  I am sorry you have gone through this but better now than latter.  I know this will take some time for you to deal with all this information you are getting but that is what it takes.  Best of luck to you and I hope you and your wife will find balance in your life.  Take care.  Still Totally ADD
